MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM AN ATHEIST TO ALL YOU BELIEVERS
Atheism is a contradiction. For someone to say that god doesn't exist, they would have to be omniscient, which, is an attribute of god, the person thus making himself one, and thereby disproving there is no god. For an atheist to say they don't 'believe' in god is another thing. I can say I don't believe in the sun, but the evidence would mock my belief. Jesus must have been a lunatic to let himself be led to a horrible death, especially since he claimed to be God. But someone who claims to be God would also be thought a liar, in stark contrast to the nature of God. The resurrection proves he wasn't a lunatic or a liar...He stated more than once that He would rise again, and who but God could raise someone, himself, from the dead. It's all about something called sin, but not a lot of people like to acknowledge or talk about it.

DAVID FRUM, THE BIG TENT, AND SPLENETIC CONSERVATIVES
As a social conservative, it is VERY tempting to try to mix my social views with that of the constitution. However, our ruling document IS the constitution. I firmly believe if the spirit and letter of the constitution were defended and applied in the simplest fashion, we would find a very likable place to live. It is not the realm of government to convert people. I want a man who know what limited government is!!!

My only objection is your view of settling things at the ballot box. Our country was formed as a republic, not a democracy. While I detest the idea of gay marriage, 'settling it at the ballot box' was a bad idea. There IS a set of transcendant truths whether you or I like them or not. We were created male and female, period. This issue should be outside of any vote to validate it.
